Busy Bees

Pitch and Marketing Birmingham prepare to launch B-Hive 2010. With a brand spanking new website on its way and the promise of more categories and more paid work placements than 2009, next year’s event is sure to reach new heights. The categories so far are PR, Graphic Design, Digital Design and Marketing (strategy). We’ll be releasing more info in due course but if you’d like to find out how your company can get involved then please get in touch.

We’re also delighted to announce that this year’s B-Hive winner of the design category, Glen Tucker, celebrated finishing his series of paid work placements by securing a full time role at a Birmingham agency.

RBA Nomination

Pitch has been shortlisted for Best Sales & Marketing Recruitment Agency at the Recruitment Business Awards in Manchester next month. In a sector which is more competitive than ever, we’re really chuffed to be shortlisted. So it’s fingers crossed on the night. Let’s hope Kanye West isn’t invited...

Too many Twits make you a Tw*t

Well that’s according to David Cameron. We think Twitter is a great way to share thoughts and keep updated with current activity, news and emerging trends. So with that in mind, you can now follow Pitch on Twitter. You can be first to know about our new roles, events, seminars and everything else in between. Follow Pitch here.

PR Bounce Back?

In our latest Salary Survey (if you don’t have a copy you can request one here), we reported that digital remained the least affected sector during the recession. We’re now happy to report that recent evidence suggests PR is returning to form. Pitch has seen a considerable rise in PR opportunities, which seems to have coincided with a rise in PR professionals starting to show interest in fresh challenges. If you are considering investing in your PR resource or have a different opinion on the way the market is going, we'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
