Working in a fast-paced agency environment, the role of Account Manager is the glue that keeps everything together. Account Managers are the day to day contact for the client, taking briefs and advising them on best campaign tactics and marketing disciplines to achieve the client’s objectives. Account Managers will be able to relay the clients brief to the agency’s creative studio working with Designers to bring the brief to life. An Account Manager will have a level of commercial acumen networking within clients to spot opportunities to grow accounts and constantly strengthening relationships.

The role generally requires regular face to face contact onsite with clients as well as delivering presentations as part of the pitch process.

Employers tend to prefer candidates with prior agency experience as they will be used to the fast paced work environment as well working across multiple brands. It isn’t uncommon for an Account Manager to work on upwards of half a dozen accounts.

Salary wise outside of London the role generally pays between £25,000 to £33,000 depending on regional variance and level of experience.
