Bury is a town part of Greater Manchester, historically part of Lancashire. Only 8 miles away from Manchester. Famous for its open air market and not forgetting Black Pudding, which is its local traditional dish. Every year Ramsbottom, a market town in Bury holds a World Black Pudding Throwing Championship with their Yorkshire rivals. It consists of throwing Black Puddings at piles of Yorkshire Puddings. Easy to commute to by car or on the Metrolink where it terminates.
