A well-established and expanding accountancy practice based in Worcestershire is seeking an ambitious Business Development Executive to play a key role in winning and onboarding new clients.

With a strong regional presence and a track record of delivering strategic, client-centric advice, the firm is strengthening its business development function to drive client acquisition and revenue growth.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership and marketing teams, supporting the firm’s continued growth. The successful candidate will take ownership of progressing new business opportunities generated through marketing activity, networking, referrals, and proactive outreach—while also identifying opportunities within the existing client base.

Role Responsibilities

The Business Development Executive will follow and support throughout the full sales lifecycle from initial enquiry through to conversion and onboarding. You’ll play a key role in engaging prospects and supporting all stages of the sales process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Logging inbound enquiries and qualified marketing leads
  • Qualifying requirements and engaging the appropriate senior partner for initial consultations
  • Supporting senior partners with follow-ups, proposal preparation, and pricing information
  • Attending networking events to promote the brand and build new relationships
  • Generating opportunities through networking, referrals, strategic outreach, and re-engagement of lapsed clients
  • Managing and maintaining an accurate sales pipeline from initial contact to conversion
  • Identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Collaborating closely with the marketing team on campaigns and lead generation initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Experience within financial or professional services is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of service-based sales and industry terminology
  • Highly organised with a commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in networking environments
