Marketing Manager in Birmingham

Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager is responsible for research, planning and execution of the organisation’s marketing activity.

This will cover all aspects from marketing, communications, digital and design, brining all the teams and departments together to ensure all parts link together.

Through careful research and experience, the Marketing Manager will advise the best marketing disciplines to use depending on the commercial results required by the business.

They will map out campaign timelines, resource requirements and budgets required for smooth delivery. If the organisation uses external agencies, the Marketing Manager will be part of appointing, managing and evaluating agencies. Marketing Managers tend to be able to think creatively, whilst also having commercial and analytical skills; able to look at research and results data to spot trends, as well as how to seek continual improvement. The role may also be client facing at trade shows and conferences.

Employers look for experienced marketers, either from an in-house or agency environment. They might also request previous experience within their market sector, ensuring candidates understand how to market within their space (retail, consumer, manufacturing, IT etc.).

Salary wise outside of London the role generally pays between £40,000 to £56,000 depending on regional variance and level of experience.
