We're partnering exclusively with a high-profile organisation playing a key role in attracting investment, visitors, businesses and talent to the West Midlands. With a strong reputation, ambitious plans and a talented communications team already in place, they're now looking for an experienced PR & Communications Executive to help tell some incredible stories about our region.

This is a really varied role, giving you the chance to get involved across PR, content, media relations, internal communications and campaigns. You'll be writing press releases and articles, spotting media opportunities, building relationships with journalists, supporting media visits and creating content that showcases the region to audiences locally, nationally and internationally.

It's a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their communications career in a fast-paced and supportive environment, while working on projects with genuine regional impact.

What you'll be doing:

• Monitoring the regional, national and international news agenda, identifying opportunities for proactive press coverage.
• Writing engaging press releases, articles, case studies, quotes and producing presentations, newsletters and other communications materials for internal and external audiences.
• Building relationships with journalists, editors and media contacts and proactively pitching stories.
• Supporting with press enquiries, media visits, journalist itineraries and editorial opportunities.
• Supporting with internal communications, keeping colleagues informed and engaged with organisational priorities and achievements.
• Maintaining media, stakeholder and coverage records, alongside supporting reporting, evaluation and wider communications projects.

We’re looking for a candidate with the following experience:

• Experience in a communications, PR, marketing, or journalism role.
• Excellent writing and editorial skills, with the ability to create engaging, accurate and audience-focused content.
• Experience producing a range of communications materials, such as press releases, articles, newsletters, presentations and social content.
• A good understanding of the media landscape and a genuine interest in news and current affairs.
